An antique teak, brass bound campaign Trunk with iron carrying handles.
This trunk is a good size and apart from the storage space it provides, the height would also have been useful as both a seat and surface for a traveller. The interior is plain although there is evidence of a name written to the underside of the lid. It looks to be Thomas Leaice but the surname is not clear. A useful piece of furniture for storage or as a coffee table. Late 19th Century.
