A small, mahogany Georgian Travelling Decanter Box.
The box contains 6 bottles with glass stoppers and 2 funnels with which to fill them. The lid has an ornate handle to the top and although the box is quite plain, the lid does have a moulding and cock beading to the edge. The interior is lined in baize to cushion the bottles. The funnels need to be removed before lifting the decanters out. The size of this decanter set and the retention of its original bottles and funnels makes it stand out. Mid to late 18th century.
