A small sized walnut Portable Buffet.
The Buffet is made to dismantle with the legs and columns that separate the shelves unscrewing from each other to breakdown, as can be seen. The turned legs and columns each have a threaded section so that they will screw into each other with the top columns fitting to the underside of the top shelf. Aside from being useful to the soldier or traveller, offering good storage space in a tent, this Buffet is a practical size for domestic use, being a little smaller than most. The legs, one of which is replaced, are on castors so that the Buffet can be easily moved around. Late 19th Century
