Hip Flask By Dixon

Maker: James Dixon & Sons

Category: Other Travel Items

Subcategory: Eating & Drinking

A medium sized, leather on glass Hip Flask by Dixon of Sheffield with rounded shoulders and a stepped base.

The flask is a slightly unusual form in that it doesn't have a cup to the bottom half. It is made to drink either directly from the flask or to be used with separate beakers. The flask has a standard bayonet fitting to the neck which is marked to both sides for Dixon. Early 20th Century.
