A cast brass Vesta Pot modelled as a miniature leather Fire Bucket.

The pot has a striker to the base and is detailed to show the rivets used to make leather fire buckets. It also has a replaced leather handle. As can also be seen by the Hat Box Inkwell, novelty desk items were given a variety of disguises and were very popular at the turn of the 20th Century. Circa 1900.
